eOritsejafor: It Was Streamed Live, They Shot At People In Church; Pastor And Others Were Kidnapped

According to a video posted on Channels TV, on Monday June 22, 2026, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor described an attack on a church in Kwara State as wild and unbecoming, recounting the incident during his appearance on Politics Today as evidence of what he called deliberate attacks on Christians in Nigeria.

The former president of the Christian Association of Nigeria said the attack, which he claimed was streamed live, involved gunmen shooting at worshippers inside the church building, resulting in deaths and the abduction of some members of the congregation, including the pastor.

In his words, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor said, "Look at what happened in Kwara State. I mean, it was streamed live. They were shooting at people inside the church and I think two people were killed.

"The pastor and a few others were kidnapped or abducted, taken out of the place. What do you call that? That is wild. That is unbecoming," he said.

Sani suggested that Nigerians hoping to move to the UK should continue rooting for the Labour Party, implying that a change in government could have consequences for immigration policies and the experiences of migrants.

Making a reference to Conservative Party politician Kemi Badenoch, Sani wrote: "If you are a Nigerian who wants to 'japa' to UK, continue to support and pray for the Labour Party. You know there is one angry tigress waiting for you in the other party. Good bye Keir Starmer."
