I Packed Out Of Gov't House One And Half Years Before; I Renovated Gov't House, And Bought Cars-Wike

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, has defended his record in office, saying he completely renovated the Rivers State Government House and provided official vehicles for key occupants before leaving office.

Speaking during his monthly media chat on TVC News on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Wike responded to issues surrounding his stewardship as governor. 

He said his administration invested heavily in upgrading Government House and ensured that essential facilities and official vehicles were available for the incoming administration.

Highlighting the steps his government took before the end of his tenure, Wike said, "Before I left as governor.
