He accused Governor Makinde of hijacking his structures in the People's Democratic Party (PDP), stressing that his actions in the PDP are responsible for the poor performance of the party in the just-concluded governorship election in Ekiti State.
However, during the interview, Ayo Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, revealed that he is eleven years older than Governor Seyi Makinde, and courtesy demands that he show some respect to his elders.
However, in response, Olayinka shared a video he claims shows Margaret Obi participating in activities commonly associated with First Lady roles during her husband’s tenure.
In a social media post, Olayinka wrote: “LIEnus Obi claimed there was no First Lady when he governed Anambra State. He stated that his wife did not undertake any official role. But here’s LIEnus Obi's spouse. Walahi, Pitobi can deceive.”
The post has generated mixed reactions online, with supporters and critics of Peter Obi interpreting his comments in different ways.
While some maintain that the absence of an official First Lady office does not prevent a governor’s spouse from engaging in informal or charitable duties, others argue that the footage raises questions about the accuracy of Obi’s statement.
As of the time of reporting, Peter Obi has not responded to Olayinka’s remarks or the video in circulation.
