I Was Looking At The Kidnapper As He Fired At Me, My Daughter, They Removed Bullets From Her- Victim

One of the travellers rescued after being kidnapped in Ogun State has shared how she and her daughter survived the frightening attack by armed men.

In a video shared by News Central TV, the woman said she was returning from Anambra State after attending an event. She explained that she boarded a Sienna bus for the journey when unknown gunmen suddenly stopped the vehicle by firing gunshots on the road.

According to her, one of the kidnappers faced her and shot her in the hand while they looked directly at each other. She added that her daughter was also hit by a bullet during the attack and was later taken to a general hospital, where doctors successfully removed the bullet.

The victim said the experience was terrifying, but expressed deep gratitude to the police for rescuing them. She praised the officers for their efforts, saying they responded well and saved the victims after about 24 hours in captivity.

The incident happened on Wednesday when three vehicles carrying travellers from Anambra and Edo states were intercepted by the gunmen in Ogun State. The passengers were taken into the forest before security operatives launched a rescue operation.

In her words, "I was looking at him and he was looking at me, he fired me on the hand. My daughter, they removed bullets from her yesterday, she's in the general hospital."
