Obioha said his concerns were driven by rising political tensions and what he described as a growing decline in public confidence in Nigeria's electoral and judicial systems.
He argued that any move perceived as excluding Obi from the presidential race could further deepen political uncertainty and erode trust in the country's democratic institutions.
Justice Isah Dashen ruled that the earlier decision failed to consider the legal rights of the Peace Movement Party (PMP), which claimed ownership of the logo later adopted by the NDC during its registration process.
The court held that the PMP should have been joined in the original suit because the dispute directly affected its legal interests. According to the judge, excluding the party undermined the fairness of the previous proceedings.
Reacting to the judgment, Obioha expressed concern over what he described as conflicting court decisions, which he said had weakened public trust in the judiciary. He also accused the current administration of undermining judicial independence.
Obioha maintained that the issue goes beyond Peter Obi's political ambition, insisting it raises broader questions about the credibility of Nigeria's democratic process.
He warned that excluding Obi from the 2027 presidential contest could trigger widespread political instability, stating that many Nigerians are increasingly frustrated with the country's political system.
