Yoruba Nollywood actress Damipe Adekoya has opened up about the strict expectations often placed on children of religious leaders, revealing a personal experience involving her father during a church service.

Speaking during a conversation with actress and media host Biola Adebayo on the Talk To B Podcast, Adekoya reflected on the pressures she faced growing up as a pastor’s daughter.

According to the actress, the incident happened during a church service where she had been leading praise and worship.

She explained that she had worn a bodycon dress to the service, which her father—who was officiating as the pastor—felt was not appropriate for someone ministering on the altar.
