Introducing herself, Adisa said she was from Osun State but lived in Ogun State. She explained that she holds a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration and runs a grocery business where she sells foodstuffs. She added that she is the second of four children, with an elder sister and two younger siblings.
Speaking about her father, she described him as Mr Alaba Adisa, popularly known as Baba Ruka. She said the family lived in Ibafo along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State and noted that her father was widely known in the community for his generosity, kindness and courage. According to her, he was an easy-going man who related well with everyone.
Shifting the focus beyond individual personalities, he argued that what truly unsettles the country’s political elite is the prospect of Nigerians becoming united.
According to him, a united and politically conscious citizenry has the capacity to challenge entrenched interests and demand greater accountability from those in power.
He further claimed that political divisions are often encouraged because they weaken the collective voice of the people and help preserve the existing power structure.
Charley Boy also criticised politicians who, in his view, lose touch with ordinary Nigerians after attaining positions of influence.
He said this growing disconnect between leaders and citizens continues to erode public trust and makes it more difficult to promote transparency and accountability in governance.
Reflecting on his decades of activism, the veteran entertainer disclosed that he has deliberately reduced his frontline advocacy in recent years to safeguard his mental well-being.
Nevertheless, he stressed that he remains committed to speaking out on national issues and contributing to conversations about Nigeria’s political and social development.
