Speaking during an interview on Arise TV, Yunusa expressed confidence in Obi’s leadership style, describing him as someone who places a high premium on hard work, discipline, and productivity.
He suggested that members of a future Obi-led government would have to dedicate themselves fully to the task of rebuilding the country, with little room for complacency.
Yunusa also reiterated Peter Obi’s previously stated position that he intends to serve only a single four-year term if elected president.
He argued that Obi’s administration would focus on increasing productivity, strengthening key sectors of the economy, and creating an environment that encourages investment, manufacturing, and job creation.
Yunusa added that achieving such ambitious goals would require government officials to work tirelessly throughout the tenure.
In his words:
“I pity those people who will work with Mr Peter Obi as president because everyday and night they will be engaged in working, I am telling you there is no rest for them.
He has a four year tenure that he said he is going to do, and you can believe that he is going to turn around the whole country into a kind of production country.”
Yunusa’s remarks reflect his confidence that a Peter Obi presidency would prioritize efficiency, accountability, and economic transformation, while expecting a high level of commitment from everyone entrusted with responsibilities in government.
He maintained that such dedication would be necessary to deliver the reforms and development the administration hopes to achieve within a single four-year term.
