‘People Judged Mr Ibu Without Knowing The Truth About His Life And Responsibilities,’ Bob-Manuel Udokwu Speaks On The Late Actor's Financial Struggles

Veteran Nollywood actor Bob-Manuel Udokwu has spoken about the financial realities faced by many actors, saying fame does not always translate into lasting financial security.

During an interview on Udala FM in Enugu, Bob-Manuel explained that although Nollywood provides income for actors, many of them also carry heavy financial responsibilities that consume a large part of their earnings.

According to the actor, men often face greater financial pressure because they are expected to provide for their families and meet several personal and household obligations.

"Life is generally easier for female than it is for male. It's not that Nollywood doesn't pay, but actors have a lot of bills to settle," he said.

Bob-Manuel also reflected on the difficult period before the death of veteran actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu.
