Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned politicians and social media users against using artificial intelligence (AI) to alter his prophetic messages, saying such actions are deceptive and could have legal consequences.
According to a report by the Nigerian Tribune, Ayodele issued the warning after a video circulating online allegedly misrepresented his comments about the 2027 presidential election.
The cleric claimed the video was edited using AI technology to falsely suggest that he had declared President Bola Tinubu was "gone" politically and that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would perform better than other candidates.
Ayodele insisted that he never made those statements and accused those responsible for creating and sharing the video of deliberately misleading the public.
